Steward is a home-maintenance app built on one rule: your household's information belongs to you. This policy explains exactly what that means.
Data Not Collected
Steward's App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected." We do not operate any servers of our own, and we do not receive, see, or store any of your household data. Steward has no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting services from third parties.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter — rooms, appliances, tasks, warranties, vendors, emergency info, and photos — is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync or share your home with household members, that data travels through your own personal iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit, in a private database only you and the people you invite can access. We have no way to read it.
Accounts
There is no Steward account. Sign-in and household sharing are handled entirely through the Apple ID already signed into your device.
Sharing with your household
When you invite someone to your home, Steward uses Apple's iCloud sharing to give them access to the same records. You control who is invited and can remove access at any time from Settings.
"How do I do this?" searches
Tapping "How do I do this?" on a task opens a web search in your browser for that task's title. This leaves the app and is subject to your browser and search engine's own privacy practices — Steward does not log or transmit these searches itself.
Children's privacy
Steward is a household-management tool not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from children — largely because it does not collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
